The Seminar welcomes walking presentations about the topics COMMUNITY PARTICIPATORY ARTS, AMASS, Art as Social Sculpture, Craftivism, Arts Based Research, Community Action Research, Service Design, Arts and wellbeing.
On July 15 and 17 APECV team presented AMASS in Azores. A walking seminar surrounded by distinct landscapes where we shared participatory experiences from Africa, America and Europe using a participatory methodology with story telling and drift activities.
The 15 participants were women between 40 and 70 years old, researchers, educators and teachers from Portugal (4 from APECV team, 2 art educators, two cultural producers, one environmental activist) one somatic education researcher from Mexico, two educators from Namibia, one PHD research student and art educator from Germany and one research student and art educator from Italy. The participants gather for the opening of the exhibition Textile Cartographies, a project initiated by APECV inspired by what we learned with AMASS partners, the exhibition will stay in the Craft Center of Capelinhos till the end of August.
In this seminar, APECV team described AMASS methodologies and case-studies in the story telling activities where we listened and shared. Rediscovering our projects and sketching future collaborations.
